Ethical Policy

The Sophos Journal of Business Science (SJBS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The Journal is dedicated to publishing original, high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of Business Science and allied disciplines. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are expected to adhere to accepted standards of academic honesty, research integrity, and ethical publishing.

SJBS follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and the academic quality of all published manuscripts. The Journal also follows an Open Access policy, making its published content freely accessible to readers worldwide in order to promote the wider dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

The Journal subscribes to the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects authors, reviewers, editors, and members of the Editorial Board to uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct throughout the publication process.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

SJBS recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted tools may support authors during the preparation of manuscripts. Such tools may be used to improve language, grammar, formatting, or readability; however, they must not replace the authors' intellectual contribution, scientific judgement, critical analysis, interpretation of findings, or original scholarly work.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, authenticity, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts, irrespective of any AI-assisted tools used during manuscript preparation. Where applicable, authors shall disclose the use of AI-assisted tools in accordance with the Journal's submission requirements. Artificial Intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as they are incapable of assuming responsibility or accountability for scholarly work.

Open Access Policy

The Sophos Journal of Business Science (SJBS) follows an Open Access publishing policy. All published articles are freely, immediately, and permanently accessible to readers without subscription or registration charges. The Journal is committed to promoting the widest possible dissemination of scholarly knowledge in Business Science and allied disciplines for the benefit of the academic and research community.

Publication Frequency

The Sophos Journal of Business Science (SJBS) is published biannually, with two issues each year.

Copyright Policy

Copyright of all material published in the Sophos Journal of Business Science (SJBS) shall vest with the Sophos Educational Society upon acceptance for publication, unless otherwise specified. No part of the published material may be reproduced, stored, or transmitted in any form without the prior written permission of the copyright holder, except as permitted under applicable copyright law or with proper acknowledgement of the original source.
